It appears that many people love a certain home dog. They cite the unstoppable offense , the seriously impressive pass protection , and a surprizingly good defense . Their love is not misplaced. And they definitely have a case for wagering on the home dog, but we need to clear the air about the doggie, before we drink the juice and fall head over heels for a hound that may actually be a paper tiger in disguise! Our... Read more

Shifting, Due To Weakness, But Matching Their Strength? She did it, so why can't we? Our Florida State wager was an easy WINNER last week, so let's follow Jenny Sterger into a Bulls uniform and get down to business! South Florida is banged up! South Florida ran for 8 yards last week, they are notorious for the late season SWOON, and they are moving into a Nickle Defense due to injuries at LB and on the D-Line... Read more

If you like the OVER in the Ohio Game Tonight.....keep your shirt on! We have SEVERAL failures in tempo. If you follow the King Maker Totals in Basketball, then you know that we look for "clear pathways to the hoop". In essence, I want my offense to have the fewest obstructions to the goal. You can follow the same thought process in football , so here are the things you need to know about the tempo of tonights... Read more

Florida State can cover the spread because........ The Rush Dominance Screen is predicated on one large "expectation": We belive that the team we are backing will keep the other team's offense off the field. A secondary goal for the RDS is to accertain the expected "field position" for the other team. We want to place the opponent deep in their own territory, and we want to possess an offense that can run the... Read more

Sam Swank missed practice on Tuesday with a strained Quad: The "questionable" label has to be treated with a grain of salt. This is a "strain" not a "tear", but the injury creates a problem for those of us that are riding the fence on this game. If Swank plays, it appears that he may be tentative on the longer kicks, and punts. I can't really get a feel for the severity of the strain, so I'm not going to be helpful... Read more

THE CLEMSON INJURY REPORT: Depth Chart The Offensive Line: Chris Hairston (OT) left the SC State game with a bum knee. The coaching staff seemed upbeat, and stated that he's pretty close to 100%. (Bowden's Tuesday Media appearance). Based on his brief statement, it seems like Chris has been practicing. He's listed as the #1 LT in the depth chart for the Wake game. Jamarcus Grant (LG), is listed at Probable with... Read more

Why has the Pittsburgh line been so erratic this season? LeSean McCoy is averaging 4.4 yards per carry, Bill Stull has a 57% completion rate, and the team averages 152 ypg on the ground, but there are a series of glaring issues that should be exposed by the South Florida defense tonight. The Pittsbugh Offensive line has given up 8 sacks this year. Bill Stull, and the Panther offense have only scored 2 passing touchdowns... Read more

Capping a Depth Chart Is Important. Last night you may have seen that I pointed out a distinct shift in the depth chart for Kansas State. The Wildcat Coach pulled his starting ILB and moved him to a reserve role at OLB, then started a JUCO in his spot, and set him beside a Junior that had started a total of 2 games in his career. On the line he shifted his best run stopping DE over to the right, and started a Freshman... Read more
